Head of Legal, Compliance & Human Resource
Key Responsibilities :
- To provide legal advice and support to the Group and top management in all legal, operational and contractual matters, litigations, commercial law, employment and participate in any due diligence procedures in the course of business investment, analyzing the documentation and drafting the necessary reports.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, company policies, internal procedures and other legal documents to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and policies / guidelines; and other legal documents for various requirement of the group of companies, including assistance for the extension, amendment or termination.
- To perform legal research and to keep abreast of applicable laws relating to the Group’s operations and advice on the impact of such changes on operations
- Coordinate and maintain the MD’s calendar pertaining to meetings, conference calls and all appointments. Including but not limited to: medical, car service, flights, travel coordination and any other arrangement deemed necessary
- Assisting the MD in attending internal/external meetings and prepare meeting agenda, presentation, minutes and producing follow ups actions.
- Function as a liaison for the MD with appropriate business partner, ministries, and agency
- Responsible for the provision of legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks for the whole group of companies.
- Assist with company errands when required.
- Handle Compliance and HR matters
- Other duties as deemed appropriate by the MD
Requirements :
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor of Law including Business Law, or Master of Law holder will be in advantage
- Possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiar with Employment Act and HR practices
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to be flexible and manage priorities in an agile environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (advantage)
- Excellent organizational skills. Meticulous, organized and adhere to a high level of confidentiality and integrity
- Flexible outlook toward task management. Ability to complete tasks in quick manner, detailed oriented and focused
- At least minimum 3-5 year(s) of working experience Legal Firm and in the related field is required.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in compliance management, regulatory affairs, or quality control, preferably within the financial services or fintech industry. 3. Strong experience managing BNM regulatory frameworks, particularly around e-wallet services.
- Frequent travel with the MDs is required for this position
